DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, MANGAMENT, COMPUTER SCIENCE & SCIENCE

A 10 hours Pre-Placement Training was organised for the final year B.COM, BBA, BCA & BSC students on 8th and 9th of May 2023. The Training session was mainly focused on Preparing students for the Placements.

The session was very informative and students took active part in the training and students got an opportunity to interact with the trainer and was very interesting and students took part in Q&A session. Many questions were asked by the students and were clarified.

The Training was divided into 2 sessions:

1st session
● Better English: Grammar, Vocabulary & Pronunciation
● Resume writing
● Interview skills
● Mock interviews

2nd session
● Public speaking demos (5 -7 girls)
● Co specific interview questions: Infosys / Genpact etc.
● Team quiz on diverse topics/skills viz. GK, Mental Maths, IQ, English, Finance, Science Demos
● Aptitude Questions

Mr Ravi Ghai Soft skill Trainer -Retired bank executive and held senior positions in four Indian / foreign banks and specialising in corporate finance and risk management.

Trainer had done a PowerPoint Presentation on:

Better English: The Trainer had done a presentation on how to speak English without any grammar mistake and glance about the Vocabulary & Pronunciation. The verbal and non-verbal communication. Students was very interactive during the training and had a clarity on the communication skills.

Resume Writing: During the training the students got know how to build the resume what are the Do’s & Don’t in the resume and which has to be highlighted. Students felt very easy to understand how to build the resume

Interview Skills: The students were trained for the interview like what are the Do’s and Don’t in the interview and how to showcase their skills during the interview, the in-depth knowledge was given to the students during the training.

Mock Interview: During the session around 10 students had an opportunity for Mock interview and performed good in the interview, few students mistake was identified and rectified during the training. This Mock interview had given a good experience for all the students.

Public Speaking: Around 5-7 students had an opportunity for public speaking they had own choice the topic and speak for 5 -10 min on that particular topic. Students took active part and very excited to explore themselves on the platform.

Students had an opportunity to know about the Co specific interview questions: Infosys / Genpact etc. Team quiz on diverse topics/skills viz. GK, Mental Maths, IQ, English, Finance, Science Demos and Aptitude Questions.

The in-depth knowledge was given to the students in order to crack the interview. The students found this session to be quite informative and satisfactory in terms of the information and training that was provided to the students.
