To explore and elucidate the genetic, molecular, and evolutionary mechanisms underlying the remarkable adaptations and biodiversity found within the animal kingdom.

To motivate the students, to conduct seminars and workshops on the topic included in the curriculum. To conduct educational tours to give exposure to the students by visiting animal parks, dairy industry, sericulture, fisheries, poultry farms, zoo, etc., which will foster a passion for scientific inquiry and wildlife conservation bringing balance between human and the natural world.

The Bachelor of Science program in Zoology spans three years and consists of six semesters. It is affiliated with Bengaluru City University, the department of Zoology focuses on the study of animals, including their behavior, physiology, anatomy, genetics, evolution, and ecology. It is a field that encompasses a diverse range of disciplines and research areas, from studying the behavior and interactions of individual animals to the conservation of entire species and ecosystems.

The department typically offers undergraduate programs that provide students with a comprehensive understanding of animal biology and the tools to conduct research in the field. By studying animals and their ecosystems, Zoologists contribute to our understanding of the natural world and help inform conservation and management strategies.
