The Bachelor of Science program in Chemistry is a course of three years and consists of six semesters as per the non NEP Choice Based Credit System prescribed by the Bengaluru City University. The course aims to educate individuals with subject knowledge, practical skills and research practices to build a comprehensive career in the field of Chemistry. The B.Sc Chemistry program equips students with necessary knowledge, skills and attitude in various aspects of Chemistry, encompassing foundational research, and practical areas.
It enables students to understand the concepts in chemistry and allows students to make choices for their further specialization. The courses that students can specialize are General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Forensic Science, Medicinal Chemistry and Food Science and Technology.
