The department of Microbiology is affiliated to Bengaluru City University, June 2022. It is an undergraduate program (NEP POLICY) for three years. Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms-their characteristic, sterilization, Instrumentation – Microscopes, Autoclave, Incubator, Clean Room-Laminar Air Flow, Ultracentrifuge, pH meter and major applications in industries. Microbiology is integrated with various branches: Health Sciences, Food Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Pharmaceutical, Plant and Animal Microbiology. The course provides sound theoretical and laboratory expertise in the diverse areas. The profound Knowledge of Microbiology is the foundation for the job opportunities in the various fields. Besides, abundant employment opportunities at the bachelor’s level, it is collaborated with research projects like Cancer Biology, Vaccine production and their therapeutics.
