- A visit was conducted to Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, for a day on 12th of
June 2024. Dr Pushpa Krishna helped us by teaching CPR training and Variability of air
flow obstruction using spirometer test.
- On the occasion of World Food Safety Day the Postgraduate Department of Nutrition
and Dietetics organized a highly engaging debate tournament on 8 th June, 2024 with the
theme & Food Safety: Prepare for the Unexpected.
- The PG Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organized a webinar titled Nuts & Bolts of
Renal Nutrition on July 10, 2024. Dr. Mary Regi, an Associate Professor from the
Department of Food Science and Nutrition at Mount Carmel College, was the guest
speaker. The webinar was conducted for I & II year MSc students of Nutrition and
Dietetics.
- A Nutrition Awareness program to commemorate World Brest Feeding Week’ was
organized for the students of BCWCC Law College on the theme’ “Closing the Gap” on
5 th August ‘2024.
- A visit was conducted to State Food Lab FSSAI at Public Health Institute for a Day on
27 th June’2024. Information regarding the Hierarchy about the State Food Authority,
Food Adulteration Act 2011 Rules and Regulations, Demonstartion on detecting
adulterations in primary and secondary food products was performed to create awareness
about food adulterations under the guidence of Dr. Chetan, Junior Food Analyst and his
team.
- A visit was arranged by the PG Department of Nutrition and Dietetics to MANMUL,
Mandya milk union Ltd, Mandya district and to Defence Food Research Laboratory
(DFRL), Mysore for MSc ND students on 23 rd August 2024.
