Faculty Development Programme:
A National level Faculty Development Programme was conducted on 15/6/2020,on the topic “ Online Learning Assessment Resources “, by Dr. Ashok Immanuel, Associate Professor, Christ University, Bangalore. Around 100 faculties actively participated in the programme. It was enlightening for the faculties on the current online tools and facilities available.
National level webinar:
Four days National level technical webinar was conducted by ITK Education Services Private Limited, Chennai. Around 175 students and faculties attended the webinar.
Day 1: On 4/8/20 the webinar was conducted on “ Robotics “. The Resource persons were Mr. Aravind Ramachandran, Senior Manager, MTAB Technology Center and Mr. Joseph M, Founder and Managing Services Pvt. Limited.
Day 2: On 5/8/20 the webinar was conducted on the topic “ Low Code Automation using Zoho”. The resource persons for the second day were Mr. Joseph M and Ms. Sowmya B, Vice President, ITK Solutions.
Day 3: On 6/8/20 the webinar was conducted on the topic “ Machine Vision and Intelligence”. The resource persons for the third day was Dr. Rinu, Associate Professor, SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
Day 4: On 7/8/20 the webinar was conducted on the topic “ Smart Factory Automation” . The resource persons for the fourth day were Mr. Aravind R and Mr. Joseph.
National level Intercollegiate Competition:
Online National level intercollegiate competitions were conducted. Online E-Quiz competition was conducted on 20/8/20 and 150 students participated in the event. Online coding competition ‘Decode’ was conducted on 26/8/20 and 192 students actively participated in this event and E-certificates were issued to all the winners.
Bridge Course:
Bridge course was conducted for first year BCA and BSc students to help the students who came from a diversed background. It was conducted from 9/9/20 to 23/9/20 which helped the students to fill the gap in Computer knowledge. The topics to be covered during these sessions were designed and the course was conducted as per the designed syllabus.
Guest Lecture:
On 12/11/2020 a guest lecture was conducted on “Computer Vision and Machine Learning” . The resourse person was Mr. Varghese P K, Project Associate, Robert-Bosch Center for Cyber-Physical Systems, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. Around 98 students from the BCA stream participated in the guest lecture. The speaker addressed the students on Computer Vision, Integrating Computer Vision with Machine Learning and the Applications of Machine Learning.

The department newsletter Bits & Bytes (Volume 3), for the academic year 2019-2020 was released on 16/12/2020.
Career Guidance Programme
An online Career guidance programme was conducted by our alumni Mrs. Shalat Nancy for the second and final year BCA students on 30-06-2021.
Student achievements:
Some students of BCA stream have done online MOOC courses on different topics like DBMS, Demystifying Networking, Cloud computing, Big data and Python for Data Science. They have participated in many online competitions and received E- certificates from Sadhana Degree College, Sri krishna Degree College, Vivekananda Degree College, etc. They have also participated in the four days National Technical webinar, conducted by the Department of Computer Science, Bishop Cotton Women's Christian College.
