Field Visit:
The Dept. organized a visit to the RBI & FIRC (Financial Inclusion Resource Centre) for
I B. Com and II B.A students on 13th September, 2019, as part of their curriculum development programme. Dr. Subramaniam delivered a talk on the topic “Functions of RBI”.
On 29th January, 2020 a guest lecture was organized for B.A students. Prof. Joy Alex addressed the students on the topic “Career prospects for Economics students”.
On 7th February, 2020 the dept. organized an industrial visit to UNIBIC Foods India Private Ltd., Bangalore for BA Economics students.
Ms. Farah Ajaz, Client Care Executive of Standard Chartered Bank (alumnus), had an interactive session with students about “Modern perspectives in Banking” on 22nd February, 2020.
During inter-collegiate Fest-‘Disha-2019’ dated 20th September, 2019 the Dept. of Economics conducted an essay writing competition on the topic ‘Role of Youth in water conservation’.
