Bulletin Board:
The Bulletin Board was displayed on the topic ‘Indian Economy: Government Initiatives for Economic Development,’ on 30th January, 2023.
A field visit was organised by the Department for 21students (I, II and III BA) to the Museum of Indian Paper Money, Bengaluru on 12th May, 2023. The visit provided in-depth knowledge on Indian currency notes preserved from pre-independence period till present times representing different eras of India’s monetary history.
Based on the theme ‘Celebrating India’s Presidency of the G20’, the Department of Economics and Political Science in association with Institution’s Innovation Council, organized an Expert Talk on ‘Catalysing Change and Unlocking the Potential of India’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ on 24th June, 2023 from 10.00am to 11.30am in the Seminar Hall. The resource person was Ms. Teena Paul, Founder and CEO, Giftolexia Solutions Private Limited and Member, Civil 20 working group on disability. The focus of the session was on the theme of India’s G20 Presidency highlighting the role of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Start-up to achieve the goals. There were about 102 students of the BA stream. An activity also was conducted by the speaker for the students. The presentation was insightful and enriching and the students gained valuable knowledge and information.
During DISHA 2023 - An Annual Inter-Collegiate Literary and Cultural Fest, the Department organised, ‘Pick and Speak’ event on 5th July, 2023.
