Program Organized
The Department of English (UG) organized a film festival on the 14th and 15th of December 2022.Movies based on socio-economic, political and gender issues were selected and screened followed by a panel discussion. The film festival was open to students of all streams resulting in active participation and learning.

Resource Person for the Guest Lecture on ‘Approaches to Literature’ at Koshy’s Institute of Management Studies on 26th July 2023.
Textbook Committee
Prof Leena Karanth, Mr. Manoj Jain and Ms. Rita Josephine who are part of the BCU Textbook Committee were recognized for their contribution as members of the textbook, Additional English and Optional English at the workshop ‘Teaching Pedagogy for Generic English-IV Sem NEP BCU’ at Vivekananda Degree College.

Competitions Organized
In view of the cultural and literary festival Disha, the department of English organized two events: Slika (Pic N Speak) and Poien (Slam Poetry). There was active participation for both the events.
