Bulletin Board - On 14th August 2019 2nd year BCom students displayed bulletin board on the theme Janapada kalegalu.
Field Visit-29th August 2019 the department organised field visit to Male Neeru Suggi Kendra at Jayanagar 45 students from all the streams visited the place. Student’s Participation-on 31st August Ambika, Preethi Chaitra, Krishna Priya, Harshita, Deepti BCom and first BA student took pot in South Indian folk-dance competition at Kairali Niketan Fest and won the third place.
Shashi Prabha of 2nd BA presented a radio talk on ‘Yuva janatheya javabdari ‘
She won the cash prize of 3000/- for her poetry in the Inter College Kavi Goshti at City College Bangalore. In the Essay writing competition organized by Utthana – monthly Kannada Magazine, Shashi Prabha wrote on the theme ‘Jala Samrakshane Yeke Hege?’- and won an appreciation award
Guest Lecture-September 2019 the department organised a lecture on ‘women and career’ the Guest speaker of the day was Ms. Kavyanka, Managing director of Veer Chakra chits Private Limited. The program ended with a lively interactive session.
Inter Collegiate event -1st and 2nd September 2019 the department conducted inter Collegiate events during the College Fest Disha 2019 and group folk dance competition was held.
Educational Tour -An Educational Tour was arranged from 29th to3rd Mar 2019 along with the Hindi department to Pondicherry and Mahabalipuram. 4 Professors accompanied 37 students during this tour.
Dr. Manonmani- Headof the department attended the silver jubilee celebrations of NAAC on6th Jan 2020 at Raj Bhavan.
