One Day International Webinar On Citizen Journalism and Digital Media

Department of Journalism organised one day International Webinar on ‘Citizen Journalism and Digital Media’ on 16 June 2020 at 11.00am to 12.30pm through Google Meet. Mrs Bhagyalakshmi Padaki, Freelance Journalist and Trainer from Germany was the Resource person.

Principal Prof. Esther Prasanakumar welcomed and spoke on the significance of citizen journalism. Mrs.Chaya Anilkumar, Head, Department of Journalism introduced the resource person and spoke on the relevance of the webinar topic during the present covid-19 crisis.

About 73 participants attended the webinar from Chicago, Singapore and various parts of the country. Prior to the webinar, around 123 participants had registered and joined WhatsApp group created for the webinar. E-certificates were provided to the participants after the submission of feedback form. Maximum Participants provided ‘Excellent’ rating to the webinar.
