10th June 2020: The Post Graduate Dept. of Psychology, Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College in collaboration in Association of Health Psychologists, Bangalore Psychology Forum & supported by UNICEF & Dr Reddy’s Lab launched a Free Tele Counseling Helpline. The team behind this venture comprised of Mr Mahendra Rajaram Disaster Risk Reduction Officer at UNICEF, Hyderabad Field Office for Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka New Delhi Area, India& Manika Ghosh, M.A. PhD, Director Eudaimonic Centre, Former Professor of Psychology & Senior Technical Consultant, United Nation Development Programme (UNDP)Secretary, Association of Health Psychologists We got a lot of publicity in the local Newspapers - both English & Kannada & on Social Media.



WEBINAR -August 11th 2020: The PG Dept. hosted a webinar titled ‘The Balancing Act- Juggling relationships, Responsibilities & Raging Emotions’ Resource Person: Ms Pallavi Tomar ,Clinical Psychologist & Psychotherapist The virtual audience of 106 constituted students from across college& working professionals.

WEBINAR -August 20th 2020, 11.30-12.30 p.m. The PG Dept. hosted a webinar titled „Striking the right balance with WFH. Our resource person was Ms Krupalini Swamy,COO Evobi Automations, Youth Delegate UNESCO, MGIEP, Mentor for change ,Niti Aayog The 100 Attendees included students & working professionals across India.

PANEL DISCUSSION -10th Oct 2020: On the occasion of World Mental Health Day ,Dr Vijayashri ,Dean PG Dept of Psychology ,served as Moderator at a National level Web Panel Discussion on the them ’Mental Health for all’ on Invitation from the B Voc Dept. of Psychology in association with UNICEF.

INTERCOLLEGIATE EVENT - Oct -16th Oct 2020:The PG Dept. of Psychology celebrated World Mental Health Day over a week from 10th by hosting an Intercollegiate Event with the Theme-“ ‘Jilting Beauty’-Sorry, not sorry”-The impact of toxic beauty standards on Mental health.

GRADUATION - Oct 29th 2020: Graduation of our First Batch of PG Students (2018-20). We celebrated with the theme ‘Harnessing the Alchemy of Nature’

PANEL DISCUSSION - Feb 15th 2021: On occasion of Valentine’s Day The PG Dept. of Psychology hosted an open Panel Discussion on “Decoding Love”-The psychology of Attraction, Romance and Relationships at 12.30 Noon in the HRD Hall. The discussion was moderated by Dr Vijayashri and Ms Monisha Muliyil.

ALUMINI CONNECT SERIES : Feb 16th 2021: Brinda Muniyappa,( Batch of 2014) Well-being Officer Karnataka State Police , delivered a talk on Career Progression in Psychology to the PG students (1st & 3rd Sem students Batch of 2021) between 12.45 p.m to 2.00pm

WOMEN’S DAY PROGRAM - March 8th 2021: The PG Dept. of Psychology in association with the Rotaract club of the college celebrated Intl. Women’s day with the theme- „Choose to challenge” The program comprised of Invocation by Antara, Spoken word poetry by Abhirami, contemporary theme dance by Kriti & group. Ms Hilda Zadka , Head of Culture & Academic Relations Israel was the Chief Guest on International Women’s Day ’21.
