World Mental Health Day: Panel discussion on “Mental health in an unequal world”
World Mental health Day: Panel discussion on “Mental health in an unequal world ‘ -This online session with expert speakers was received well with over 200+ people registering for the same. The Q & A session that followed reflected the responsive audience of students from different colleges in Bangalore, professionals, parents and other interested people.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM - Nov 22nd -25th 2021: The following girls attended an Internship Program -a Training program on Life skills Awareness & counselling Program between 22nd -25th Nov 2021at Yuvapatha ,4th Block Jayanagar, Bengaluru, followed by 3 month Internship Program (Ongoing). This 4-day program is conducted by Campus to Community in collaboration with NIMHANS.

ORIENTATION - 13th Dec 2021: The Orientation Program for the new batch of M.Sc Psychology was conducted along with the other PG Departments of M.Sc Home Science, M.COM and M.A. at the Seminar hall on 13th Dec 2021from 10.30 am. The Chief Guest for the day was Dr Sundaravalli, Head of the Home Science Dept of Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru.
Mental Health Awareness Campaign - is a post-pandemic initiative of the department that is carried out in every class on campus for this whole year. The aim of this campaign is to break the stigma that surrounds mental health, create a safe platform in the PG Dept. on campus for students to speak up & seek support.
This class-to-class campaign will be followed up by a series of workshops on common areas of concerns on campus Feb 2022

Student Achievement - The Department is proud to have bagged the 1st Rank and the 3rd Rank at the Bengaluru Central University from the batch of 2019-2021. Ms. Sneha.P gets the 1st Rank Gold medal and a cash prize of Rs 20,000/- by securing a percentage of 86.73 as her overall performance and total marks secured in all her semesters under the CBCS scheme in M.Sc Psychology. Ms. Sheeba Simran gets the 3rd rank with a percentage of 85.54 as her overall performance and total marks secured in all her semesters under the CBCS scheme in M.Sc Psychology
WORKSHOP - Mental health for all - The Department organized a community outreach workshop titled “Mental health for all”. In this collaborative initiative we partnered with the Eudaimonic centre and the NGO Maarga, Bengaluru, which is a community-based organization of people living in slums in Karnataka on June 8th 2022.
MENTAL HEALTH CAMPAIGN - ‘Speak, Share, and Support’: conversations initiated on mental health among our student community. Led by our Faculty team Dr Vijayashri,Dean of PG Studies in Psychology ,Ms Sangeetha & Ms Kavya Licensed clinical psychologists, Dr Reena. group.
WORKSHOP - Relationship Spectrum: An interactive Workshop on 15th July 2022. An interactive Workshop on Dynamics of Relationship, understanding what makes for a healthy or Unhealthy relationship.
CULTURAL FEST - 18th July -22nd July: Aura 2022: PG Inter Faculty cultural& Literary hosting over 14 events over 4 days. The week was celebrated as the cultural Week where the students dressed according to a theme- Floral, Character replication, Retro, Prom & ethnic wear and had events organized around these themes.
23rd July 2022: Continuing with this year’s initiative of Mental health campaign A Workshop for parents –Connect with your Teen- A guide to everyday Parenting. The resource person Dr Nithya Poornima conducted the same for 43 Parents of our PUC students covering topics of Boundaries, Peer Influence, Academics, Lifestyle, Gadget use, Communicating witeens, Independence & Relationships.
