Report on Faculty Development Programme

The Research and Innovation Cell and IQAC of the college jointly organized an FDP on “Research Methodology” on Saturday, 1st March 2025 at 9:30 am. – 12:30 pm. in the Seminar Hall.

The programme began with an opening prayer by Mrs. Suja Shanthi, Head, Department of Computer Science followed by the Bible Reading by Mrs. Rachel Brown, Faculty, Department of Psychology. The gathering was welcomed by the Principal Dr. Revina Rebecca and Dr. Rebecca Theodore, Faculty, Department of Management Studies introduced the guest speaker Dr. Chitra Ravi, Director, CRS Intellect Bridge, Bangalore.

The topics covered during the session were Definition of Research, objectives of Research, types of Research with relevant examples, The Research process, Synopsis and Research paper writing, referencing and avoiding plagiarism, peer review and feedback, how to present the Research in conferences and how to submit the research paper for publication.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Saadia Hameed and the programme was compered by Dr. Chaya Anilkumar, Head, Department of Journalism. The programme which was attended by 49 faculty members ended with a Question-and-Answer session and was a fruitful and enriching experience.
