Mrs Sunila Kumar, Head, Department of Psychology published a research paper titled “Education on Water Conservation Attitudes” A systematic Review in the International Journal of Early Childhood Special Education ( INT-JECSE) ISDN :1308 -5581 vol14, Spot Issue 01,2022. A 3-day trip for the students to Pondicherry in the month of August as a part of their Co- curricular activity. The students visited Sri Aurobindo handmade paper factory where they learnt about the manufacture of fine cotton rag papers and handcrafted stationary.

The Department observed ‘World Elder Abuse Awareness Day’ on June 15th 2022. The students were sensitised on the problems and issues faced by senior citizens through a street play. A poster making competition was conducted with the theme “Respect your elders”. The Department organised a psychology week filled with joy, fun, laughter and entertainment in the college campus from 5th to 8th December 2022.Each day had its variant theme and a variety of activities and dress codes based on the theme. Day one of the week started with ‘Rainbow Day' followed by theme ‘declutter your brain’,’ relive your childhood ', ‘music therapy' and ended with 'art therapy'. the students enjoyed and loved every moment of the special week. The Personality club organised a guest lecture on the topic public speaking on the 20th January 2023. The resource person was Dr. Vijayshri Ravi, Dean MSc Psychology. She brought out the various ways to enhance skills in public speaking through Role play and PowerPoint presentation. Workshop on 'Developing a Positive Mind-set'.

A workshop on developing a positive mind-set on June 6 th 2023. The resource person was Ms.Pooja Oswal , mindset coach , therapist child and parent counsellor . The students gained an understanding of how to develop and practice a positive mindset. An intercollegiate psychology fest 'Mental Mosaic' was conducted on the 27th June, 2023 for students of psychology from different colleges who actively participated in the various competitions such as face painting, puzzle solving, story writing, photography, connect, quiz, fashion show and contemporary dance. The highlight of the fest was the model making competition where in more than 50 models with psychological concepts were displayed in the exhibition.
