Semester I: Psychology of Health and Wellbeing

Understanding the spectrum of health and illness for better health management
Identifying stresses in one's life and how to manage them
Understanding a variety of health announcing health protective and health compromising behaviours and to be able to know their application in illness management

Semester II: Youth, Gender and Identity

Students will learn a comprehensive understanding of the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of youth.
Students will examine various gender theories and concepts, including the social construction of gender, gender identity, and gender roles.
Students will explore how gender intersects with other identities, such as race, ethnicity, sexuality, and socioeconomic status, to shape the experiences of youth.
Students will analyse how cultural factors influence notions of youth, gender, and identity, with a focus on cross-cultural and global perspectives.
Students will critically evaluate media portrayals and representations of youth, gender, and identity, considering their impact on societal perceptions and expectations.
