The departmental activities started with the celebrations of Premchand Jayanthi on 31st July, 2021. An online webinar (google meet) was organized in which Shri. Suresh Chand Dubey, Founder, Munshi Premchand Memorial Trust, Lamhi, Varanasi, U.P, was the Chief Guest. He lauded the Department for all the efforts put in convincing the Government in pursuing this matter at the National level and getting it a deserved recognition. Dr. Vinay Kumar Yadav, HoD, recollected his journey of the past 16 years wherein he left no stone unturned in pursuing this matter with the concerned officials both at the State and Central level.

Dr. S. Manjunath, HoD, Pompi College, Mangalore, was the Special Invitee. He highlighted on the relevance of Premchand Liteature in the modern context.

Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September, 2021. Online Pick’n’speak and Poetry recitation competitions were held on Zoom-https://us02webzoom.us/j/4908053605. Around 40 students took active participation.

On 20th February, 2022, the Valedictory function of a three- day literary programme on ‘Sahityakar Chitra Mudgal ji ka Sahitya Darshan’ was organized by the Department in association with Abhyudaya International Organization on – Zoom-https://us02webzoom.us/j/4908053605. Renowned Literary person Shri. Mahesh Darpan was the Chief Guest of the programme.

In the memory of Melody Queen, Late. Latha Mangeshkar, an online National-level Panel discussion on “Hindi Sahitya aur Sangeet- Antarsambandh” was organized by the department on 15th February, 2022 based on the poems written by Hindi Poet Pradeep which were sung by Sur Samragni Lata Mangeshwar ji. The event was presided by Shri. Lakshmi Shankar Bajpayi, Poet and Former Deputy Director General, Aakashvani, Delhi. The Chief Invitee was Shri. Pradeep Sardhana, Senior Journalist & renowned film critic.

Dr. Vinay Kumar Yadav:

• Invited as a Resource Person to deliver a talk on ‘Vaishvik star per Hindi mein Rozgaar ke Avsar’ by St. Claret College, Bengaluru on 6th June, 2022.

• Invited as Subject Expert for Hindi to conduct written exam and demo on 1st June, 2022, by Bishop Cotton Academy of Professional Management, Bangalore.

• Invited as Guest of Honour by BGS World School, Chickkaballapur which celebrated 131st Ambedkar Jayanthi on 14th April, 2022. He spoke on the relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision in the present context and the importance of education and social justice.

• St. Francis College, Koramangala, Bengaluru organized a Three Day National Multi-Disciplinary Virtual Symposium ‘CONFLUX 2022’ on 7th May, 2022, in which he was invited as Resource Person. He delivered a talk on “vaishvik sthar per Hindi evem rozgar ke avsar” during the occasion.

• He presided the second session of a One-Day National Seminar, in DVS College of Arts and Science, Shivamogga, organized by Karnataka State Hindi Lecturers’ Association ®, Bangalore in association with Kuvempu University College Hindi Lecturers’ Association, Shivamogga, on 13th April,2022. He also presented a paper on ‘Employment Opportunities in the field of Official Language Hindi.’

• Invited as Resource Person to deliver a talk on “National Education Policy and Hindi”, by S. Nijalingappa College, Bangalore on 25th February, 2022.

• Invited as Resource Person by Sindhi College, Bangalore to deliver a talk on “Bhasha va Sahitya ka Chaatr Jeevan ke Nirman me Yogdaan”, addressing the students of BA/BBA/BCA/B. Com on 20th February, 2022.

• Blanket Distribution which is an annual event since the past 16 years was organized by Suprayas an NGO which was started by his initiative in Phulka, Bihar, on 2nd January, 2022. Dr. Vinay Kumar Yadav was invited as the Chief Guest for the occasion.

• Invited as Subject Expert at a National Webinar on 25th October, 2021 organized by St.Vincent Palloti College, Bangalore in association with Karnataka State Universities’ College Hindi Professors Association on the topic “Bharatiya Sant Sahitya Parampara”.

• Invited as Chief Guest in a Kavya Goshti organized by ‘Shabd’ Sahityik Sanstha, Bengaluru on 21st November, 2021.
• Presented a paper on ‘Relevance of National Language in the age of Globalization’, in a National Seminar jointly organized by Central Hindi Directorate & Jain deemed to be University from 27th October, 2021 to 29th October, 2021

• A letter to the Hon’ble Home Minister Shri. Amit Shah regarding the implementation of NEP and its impact on Hindi Language was written, drawing his kind attention to the dire consequences on the teaching fraternity in the State which was widely covered by Rajasthan Patrika and published on 23rd November, 2021.

• Interviewed by Rajasthan Patrika to express his opinion and thoughts on ‘Shikshak aur Sansadhan bina kaise sudhregi Sarkari Shiksha’ which was published in the daily on 30th October, 2021.

• Participated in a Facebook live event on Zoom organized by Abhyuday Antar-rashtriya Sanstha on the topic ‘Premchand ka Aprapya Sahitya- Ek Vishleshan’ on 26th October, 2021 and on ‘Nayi shiksha Niti aur Rajyon mein Bhasha ki Sthiti’ on 31st October, 2021 respectively.

• Headed a delegation comprising of representatives from various Private Colleges to meet the State Governor Hon’ble Thawar Chand Gehlot on 17th August, 2021 to discuss on the implementation of NEP in Karnataka.

• Met the State Education Minister Dr. Ashwathnarayan, on 27th August, 2021 and handed over a requisition regarding the compulsion of Kannada as one of the languages because of which the livelihood of other languages teaching faculty was going to be at stake in the State. An assurance to look into the issue was given by the minister. It was published by Hindi dailies ‘Dakshin Bharat Rastramat’, ‘Rajasthan Patrika’ and regional Kannada newspaper ‘Prajavani’ on 30th August, 2021.

• His relentless efforts to get the dilapidated house of Munshi Premchand, a renowned writer in Hindi, in Lamhi, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh renovated, were published in a series by name ‘Premchand ke Bahane’ in Hindustan Hindi News, Varanasi, in their daily editions from 26th July, 2021 to 30th July, 2021.

• Appointed as State General Secretary for Karnataka State Universities’ College Hindi Professors Association. • In their special edition on the occasion of Hindi Diwas,, on 14th September, 2021, Rajasthan Patrika, published his article on ‘Apni Bhasha ke bina sab soon’.

• Invited as a Subject Expert in a State Level Webinar on ‘Nayi Shiksha Niti ka Karnataka mein karyanvayan tatha Hindi ka Sthan’ which was jointly organized by Rani Chenamma Arts & Commerce College, Belagavi and Rani Chenamma University Teachers Association, on 1st August, 2021.

• Invited as Chief Guest, by All India Radio, Bengaluru which celebrated Hindi Diwas , on 15th September, 2021.

Recognizing his vast knowledge in Hindi literature and his extensive contribution in the field of education and academics, he was conferred with ‘Dr. Radhakrishnan Samman’ award by the Samiti.
