On 1st August 2022, Premchand Jayanti was celebrated by the Hindi Department. Mercy Priyalatha, in-charge principal, BCWC PU College was the Chief Guest. She spoke on the relevance of Premchand’s contribution to Hindi literature and lauded the efforts taken by the department in keeping the legacy alive in the modern context. Students performed a drama ‘Boodhi Kaaki’ written by Premchand which was the main attraction. Hindi Association was also inaugurated on the same day.

On 23rd September, 2022, ‘Dinakar Jayanti’ was celebrated by the Department commemorating the birth anniversary of noted laureate Ramdhari Singh Dinakar, recepient of Jnanapeeth Award for his magnanimous contribution in the field of Hindi literature. A Group discussion on his writings was organized. Students took active participation and discussed on the salient features of his literary works. The Department organized ‘Hindi Parv’, a Week-long International Hindi Web-series from 12th September, 2022 to 17th September, 2022 in association with Akhil Bharatiya Hindi Mahasabha, Karnataka, Karnataka State University College Hindi Teachers Association, Bangalore and six other Educational Institutions of Karnataka.

1. Dr. Vinay Kumar Yadav:
• Celebrating the 75th year of Indian independence, St. Philomina College, Mysore had organized a two - day National Seminar in asoociation with Delhi Hindi Sahitya Sammelan and Central Hindi Institute, Agra on 22 and 23 july 2022, in which Dr. Vinay Kumar Yadav was invited as Chief Guest in the first session on ‘Hindi ke badhte charan’. He spoke on the importance and relevance of ‘Sahitya, Sanskriti aur Bhasha’.

• On 30th july, 2022, he participated in a One-day National Seminar organized by Gavi Siddeshwara Arts, Science and Commerce College, Koppal, on the topic ‘Bharath ke Swatantrata Sangram mein Hindi Lekhakon ka yogdaan.’

• On 23rd September, 2022 Vasavi Educational Trust JP Nagar celebrated Hindi Diwas as well as Dinakar Jayanthi, in which he was invited as Chief Guest. In his addressing talk, he spoke on the literary contribution of Dinakar to Hindi literature. He even highlighted on the implementation of NEP scheme in Karnataka and the language policy which has put the survival of Hindi and other Indian languages in a challenging position and expressed his opinion on retaining Indian languages in the curriculum which will otherwise put Hindi and other languages teaching fraternity in grave danger.

• As General Secretary, Karnataka State University College Hindi Teachers Association, Dr. Vinay Kumar Yadav was one of the members of the Committee which organized a One-day International Webinar on the topic ‘Desh aur Videsh mein Hindi’, in association with St.Philomina College, Autonomous, Mysore and Karnataka State University College Hindi Teachers Association, Bangalore on 22nd August, 2022.

• On 14th September, 2022, he was invited as Chief Guest by the Department of Hindi, Christ University, which had organized Hindi Diwas with the theme ‘Hindi Bhasha evam Sahitya mein Premchand ka yogdaan’. He expressed his opinion on the achievements of Hindi language and literature as well as it’s usage across the globe. He highlighted on its role during the freedom movement in our Country and the challenges it faced. He spoke on the contribution of Munshi Premchand which has enriched Hindi literature.

• Department of Arts and Humanity, Acharya Bangalore B-School invited him as a Guest Speaker to deliver a discourse on ‘Vishva Hindi Diwas’ on 14th January, 2023. He spoke on the relevance of Hindi as link language and its growing importance on different social media sites and applications and its users.

• An awareness programme on the importance of Electoral Roll was organized under the leadership of Shri. Manoj Kumar Meena, Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka in association with BBMP, on 9th November, 2022. A rally was organized during the event in which 92 students from the College took active participation under the leadership of Dr. Vinay Kumar Yadav.

• He was invited as Resource Person by Central Institute of Hindi, Mysore Centre, (Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India) Mysore, which had organized Refresher Course for Hindi Teachers in Kolar on the topic “Hindi mein rozgaar: Dakshin Bharat ke sandarbh mein” on 11th July, 2023.

• Engaged in a discussion organized by Central Institute of Hindi, Mysore Centre, (Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India) Mysore on the topic “Dakshin Bharat mein Hindi ki sthiti – Samasyayen evam Avasar” on 22nd June, 2023.
